Warren W. ‘Dub’ Reed Jr.

MORGANTOWN

Warren W. “Dub” Reed Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 11, 2015, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Morgantown.

Dub was born in Franklin on Dec. 30, 1954, to his parents, the late Warren and Betty Jean (Kemp) Reed Sr.

He attended Indian Creek High School, and he went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Mary K. (Jasper) Reed, on Sept. 13, 1974, in Morgantown.

She lovingly survives after 40 devoted years of marriage.

Prior to being in an automobile accident, which left him unable to work, Dub worked in sales for Howco RV Sales in Whiteland. He formerly attended the Assembly of God Church in Morgantown.

He had a passion for restoring, collecting and driving old vehicles. Dub enjoyed going to car shows, swap meets and fishing. He was a fan of NASCAR, with his favorite driver being Tony Stewart. Dub loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Chanda (Johnny) Gatton of Morgantown; siblings, Rick (Vicki) Reed of Martinsville and Patricia Kennedy of Missouri; grandchildren, Zachary and Zoey Gatton, both of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Dub was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ann Hylton; and a nephew, Eric Fowler.

The Rev. Matt Satter will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
