A motorcyclist is recovering after an accident on State Road 37 on Wednesday morning.
Anthony R. Meuchel, 52, Mooresville, was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital with arm injuries after the accident.
On Thursday, he was listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Meuchel was injured when his motorcycle was struck by a car at State Road 37 and Bluff Road at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to an accident report.
The other vehicle was driven by Robin M. Haworth, 44, Indianapolis. Haworth told police she thought the road was clear and pulled out onto the highway. She saw the motorcycle’s headlight and hit her brakes. She said Meuchel swerved to try to avoid hitting her, according to the accident report.
Meuchel was thrown off the motorcycle. He told police he did not remember what happened, the report said.
