Jensen Christopher Heiney

FORT COLLINS, Colo.

On Aug. 1, 2015, Jensen Christopher Heiney, 30, passed away in Fort Collins, Colorado. 

Jensen was born Nov. 1, 1984, in Franklin.

He graduated from Southport High School in 2003. While in school, he participated in football, basketball and baseball and loved being outdoors.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as an L2 and was awarded a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and an Air Force Training Ribbon.

Jensen is survived by his loving partner, Sarah Rice; handsome sons, Carter and Michael; beautiful daughters, Jasmine and Jada; his mother, Anita (Ronald) DeBoard Jr.; father, Charles (Kelli) Heiney; along with Todd and Vicki Burns. Jensen’s siblings include Erika Heiney (Isaac Horner), Colt DeBoard, Alyssa DeBoard, Blakely DeBoard, Whitni Dugan, Austin Burns and Megan Burns. Surviving grandparents are M. Charlene Heiney, Marion Richard Snyder, Dixie and Steve Knott, Ronald Sr. and Patricia DeBoard and Patricia Burns.

He will join his grandfathers, Keith Heiney and John Burns, in peace.

Jensen’s celebration of life with visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., Indianapolis. A service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
