GREENWOOD
Maria Elena (Bazzone) Dorsey, 73, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015.
She was born July 16, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She was the widow of Charles P. Dorsey.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church where she had served as head usher for 37 years.
She had also been a staff associate for Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.
Surviving are her daughters, Chandra Dorsey (David Perry) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Brenna Dorsey (Tony Flynn) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvana; four grandchildren, Jesse Jones, Evan Flynn, Isabella Flynn and Ian Flynn; and her Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles P. Dorsey; and infant son, Evan Dorsey.
Monsignor Mark Svarczkopf will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St., Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service time on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
