Lorena Lee, 81, of Edinburgh, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at her residence.

She was born in Columbia, Kentucky, on Nov. 26, 1933, to Jake and Hallie (Simpson) Burton.

She married Kenneth W. Lee, and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2007.

She is survived by sons, Jeff (Karen) Rooks of Shelbyville and Greg (Tammy) Rooks of Lewis Creek; daughter, Carol Lee of Edinburgh; stepsons, Skip (Teresa) Lee of Edinburgh, Jeff (Melinda) Lee of Flat Rock, stepdaughters, Kathy (Eric) Fleming of Leesburg and Kendra Gonzalez of Columbus; brothers, Alva Lee Burton of Kentucky, Lonnie Burton of Edinburgh, Jackie Burton of Kokomo, sister, Wanda Harris of Edinburgh; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Larry Burton.

She was a longtime member of the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. She formerly was employed by D.S.I. of Columbus, where she worked as a home helper.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends; she loved her church and gospel music.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 1010 S. Main St., Edinburgh, with the Rev. Guy Hardin officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church and from noon until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock.
