David E. Bodnar

BARGERSVILLE

David E. Bodnar, 59, of Bargersville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born May 8, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to Eugene and Helen (Pacocha) Bodnar.

He married Christine (Wozniak) Bodnar on June 21, 1980, in Detroit, Michigan; she survives.

He was a technician for Comsonics in Greenwood for 21 years.

He was a 1974 graduate of St. Mary’s Preparatory School in Orchard Lake, Michigan.

He enjoyed collecting “G-Gauge” model Lionel trains, and watching the History Channel and Syfy Channel. He was also an avid bowler.

He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and son.

He was a member of SS. Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood where he had served as a Eucharist minister.

Survivors include his wife, Christine (Wozniak) Bodnar of Bargersville; two daughters, Melissa A. Griffin (Chris) of Franklin and Becca L. Bodnar of Bargersville; two grandchildren, Josie L. Griffin and expecting baby Griffin in January 2016; his parents, Eugene and Helen (Pacocha) Bodnar of Warren, Michigan; and his sister, Cindy Bodnar of Warren, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by infant twin daughters.

Father Vincent Lampert will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Saturday at SS. Francis and Clare Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road in Greenwood, where friends may call from 11 a.m.until service time. 

Swartz Family Church and Chapel – Funeral and Cremation Services in Greenwood is handling the arrangements.
