INDIANAPOLIS
Kathy Irwin, 49, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
She was born Aug. 26, 1965, in Indianapolis.
She was a graduate of Greenfield High School.
She had been a claims examiner for Anthem Insurance in Indianapolis for 10 years.
She enjoyed gardening and was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother to her grandson, Robert.
Survivors include her husband, Greg A. Irwin of Indianapolis whom she married on Aug. 25, 1986, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Lindsey L. Irwin and Krista R. Irwin, both of Indianapolis; her grandson, Robert Wheeler; her father, James Elsey (Trish) of Cicero, her mother, Connie Edwards (Larry, deceased) of Indianapolis, two brothers Jim Elsey of Indianapolis and John Elsey (Susan) of Fishers.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Visitation for friends will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
