Police are investigating who stole the batteries from three utility cable boxes in the Center Grove and Bargersville areas.
A resident who lives on Chancery Boulevard, in the Kensington Grove addition near Morgantown Road, found a utility box that had been pried open with its wires cut and both batteries stolen, according to the police report.
Another utility box at Chancery Boulevard also had been broken into and its batteries were stolen.
The Bargersville Police Department also found a utility box that had missing batteries and similar damage in the Somerset neighborhood, the report said.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office informed Comcast of the damage and the stolen batteries, according to the police report.
Johnson County residents are encouraged to call Bargersville police or the sheriff’s office with any information.
