Attorney elected to board of directors

The Hoosier Hills Estate Planning Council has elected new directors and officers for its 2015-16 board of directors.

Board members serve two year terms which began on July 1.

Among them is Eric W. Fredbeck, a Franklin attorney at Deppe Fredbeck & Boll LLP. He is serving as a director and communications and public relations chairman.

The council is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. The organization provides education and networking opportunities to attorney, accountants, insurance professionals, trust and investment managers and financial counselors in south central Indiana.

Company names manager, executive

Human resources company Tilson has named Amy Carpenter as benefits manager.

In the role, she will work with Tilson clients and their businesses by providing effective customer service to managers and staff.

Carpenter has more than 30 years of experience working in the employee benefits industry. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and is a board member of the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Tilson also has announced that Scott Hall has been named the new senior vice president of business development.

Hall joined the company team in November as the vice president of sales. He moved to his current role, senior vice president of business development, in April and is responsible for leading the sales efforts at Tilson and designing an enjoyable and efficient client experience.

Prior to joining Tilson, Hall spent 10 years working in the financial services industry, consulting financial advisers how to utilize an outsourced solution to enhance client investments.

Hall’s responsibilities included customer service, client consultations, account management, pipeline management and client acquisition. Hall previously spent 10 years directing a software company and managing employee training products.

Hall has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in liberal arts, with minors in business administration and history.

Bank celebrates opening of new facility

Horizon Bank recently celebrated the completion of its new Greenwood office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location at 942 U.S. 31 South.

The bank is hosting a monthlong celebration by offering special promotions on several financial services and a drawing for a chance to win a Trek Road bike.

The facility has a drive-up ATM and a safe, easily accessible after-hours deposit drop-off.

Hours for the Greenwood office are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Drive-up hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
