INDIANAPOLIS
Charles Edward Porter, 79, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at his residence in Indianapolis.
He was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Whiteland, to Harry W. Porter and Mildred (Brewer) Porter.
Ed is survived by a brother, John Anthony Porter of Franklin; a niece, Sherry Lynn Porter of Franklin; and two nephews, Kevin Porter of Greenwood and Mark Tabeling of Bargersville.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; a brother, Harry W. Porter; a sister, Joyce Tabeling; and a niece, Gina Bridges.
Ed graduated from Whiteland Community High School.
He was employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation, retiring after several years of service.
He enjoyed watching sports on television.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
