Clarence Edward Norman

Clarence Edward Norman, 85, of Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

He was born April 14, 1930, in Lawrence County, to the late John W. and Helen (Crouch) Norman. He was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Korean War.

He retired from National Starch and Chemical Co.

Survivors include two sons, Greg (Susan) Norman of Flora and Doug (Melanie) Norman of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Cory (Polly), Cameron, Chandler, John, Jared and Joel Norman; two great-grandchildren, Gabe and Luke Norman; and siblings, Judy Quebbemen, Shirley Hearth and Gerald Norman.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Naomi Jean Norman, and siblings, Norma Hillenburg, Wesley Norman, Wayne Norman, Everett Norman, Marge Todd and Glenda Sowders.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
