Bessie May Miller

Bessie May Miller, 88, of Greenwood, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, with her loving family at her side.

She was born July 14, 1926, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to Herbert and Lily (Green) Foster.

She married Wayne Miller on March 24, 1951, and they spent 64 years together.

Bessie was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and was a former member of the Dorcas Circle at the church.

She loved to sew, was an avid crotcheter and loved to work in her flower garden. But her greatest love was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who know and love her.

Bessie is survived by her husband, Wayne; sons, James (Barbara) Miller of Middleton, Ohio, Charles (Judy) Miller and Allen (Deborah) Miller, both of Greenwood, and David (Tracy) Miller of Burlington; daughter, Annette (Kevin) Lacy of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
