Florence L. (Schonfeld) Cave

Florence L. (Schonfeld) Cave, age 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2015, at her home in Peoga.

She was born in Fenn’s Station of Shelby County on July 28, 1938, to her parents, the late John and Zelma (Shirley) Schonfeld. Florence attended school in Hope and went on to marry Daniel I. “Danny” Cave on Sept. 24, 1955, in Shelby County. He loving survives after 59 devoted years of marriage.

Florence was a loving homemaker and mother to her children, Tim (Mona) Cave and Tom (Tina) Cave, both of Trafalgar, Linda (Roger) Smith of Nashville, James (Tammy) Cave of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mary (Tim) Perkins of Trafalgar. She will be remembered by her siblings, Lovena (Carl) Dayton of Hope and Neil (Aloma) Schonfeld of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Florence was a member of the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church and loved cooking for family gatherings and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was passionate about photography and was always there with her camera to capture family memories. Florence was an avid reader of her Bible and enjoyed viewing and posting family photos on Facebook.

The Revs. Guy Harden and Ed Tharpe will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 S. Main St., Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Brown County.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
