Franklin won’t fill administrator’s position

Franklin schools ended its contract with an administrator and won’t refill the position.

School board members approved 4-0 ending the employment contract of assistant superintendent Maria Woodke. School board member Darren Thompson was absent from the meeting.

Woodke was hired as the assistant superintendent for Franklin schools in July 2014. She served as principal of Indian Creek High School from 2012 to 2014.

The assistant superintendent position will not be filled, Superintendent David Clendening said. Woodke’s responsibilities, such as data analysis, will be given to other school district administrators, he said.
