Drugs taken in robbery at Greenwood CVS

Greenwood police are searching for the man who robbed a pharmacy on Sunday.

Just before 5 p.m., police were called to CVS at Smith Valley Road and U.S. 31.

A clerk told police a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and an Indiana Pacers hat walked up to the counter and passed a note explaining it was a robbery. The clerk then handed the note to the pharmacist, who grabbed two small bottles of Oxycodone, according to the police report.

The man then left. Police later found a gray sweatshirt near the parking lot that the clerk said the man was wearing. Officers also found the Pacers hat in a trash can near the front door of the CVS, along with two empty Oxycodone bottles, the report said. A police dog was brought to the area but did not find anything.

Investigators collected the items police found as evidence.
