GREENWOOD
George Edward Miller Jr., 82, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born Jan. 12, 1933, in Indianapolis to the late George E. Miller Sr. and Margaret (Peake) Miller.
He is survived by his daughter, Cyndi L. Maddox of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Aimee D. (Jason) Kishell of Houston, Texas, Jessica L. (Darnell) Maddox-Davis of Greenwood and Erin M. Maddox of Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, Micah, Mya, Elliott, Evan, Everly and Leila, who is due to arrive in September.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Killian) Miller, whom he loved dearly for 49 years and their daughter, Brenda, in 1956.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served our country during the Korean War in 1952 to 1954.
He retired after 46 years from Lilly Industrial Coatings, working in the factory and as a long-distance driver.
