MORGANTOWN
Deanna J. (McRoy) Fulton, 75, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, June 14, 2015, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Morgantown.
Deanna was born in Indianapolis on June 16, 1939, to her parents, the late James L. and Deenie (Costelow) McRoy.
She was a 1957 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis.
Deanna married Bernard L. “Bernie” Fulton on June 28, 1957, in Indianapolis. He loving survives after 57 years of marriage.
Deanna is also survived by her children, Joyce L. (John) Matthews of Franklin, Bernard L. Fulton of Morgantown, Deana Elaine O’Sullivan of Franklin, RaJean K. Vehling of Martinsville and LaDonna M. (Darrel) Rivenbark of Visalia, California; siblings, Janet (Cleston) Brannam of Byrdstown, Tennessee, and Paul (Sharon) McRoy of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Robin (Tony) Tschetter of Emeryville, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mamie Danz, Mary Tschetter, Harold, Bob, Fred and Don McRoy.
Deanna retired in 2001 as a private home health care nurse after 22 years of service. Prior to that, she worked as an O.B. technician at Johnson Memorial Hospital for five years.
Deanna was a member of the Light House Church in Morgantown and enjoyed traveling with her family. She visited Greece, Egypt and Israel along with many trips to Florida and cruises to Hawaii. Deanna also enjoyed gardening and was known for her cooking and baking.
The Rev. Mike Wagner will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
