Letter: Mail delivery raises questions

To the editor:

I read with interest the article stating that our Daily Journals will now be delivered by mail instead of newspaper carriers, starting June 15. I wonder how that will affect older people and how much they consume for breakfast without their paper? How might it affect people’s plans for the day without the weather prediction? Believe it or not, not everyone has access to a computer or smartphone to access the Daily Journal online.

How much later in the day will our mail deliveries be, with all the Daily Journal deliveries added to the U.S. mail workload?

And lastly, what about the newspaper carriers? If ever there was a time to tip your carrier for the job they have done in the past — it is NOW – before they all lose their jobs June 15!
