Craig Allyn Jones

EDINBURGH

Craig Allyn Jones, 65, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Edinburgh.

He was born May 1, 1950, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Elvis and Gladys (Flattum) Jones. He married Rebecca Louise (Mitchell) on June 7, 1986. She survives.

Craig also is survived by children, Jason (Lisa) Jones, Billy (Terri) Jones and Travis Hayes, all of Franklin, and Amy Hayes of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Tosha Nixon, Savannah Mae Jones, Katie Jones, Audrey Stanbery, Nate Jones and Lance Jones; one great-grandchild, Laiken Brown; sisters, Rita Curry and Donna Linneman; and brothers, Gary (Rita) Jones and Jeff (Therese) Jones.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, and a brother, Dennis Jones.

Craig was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

He was employed by Advanced Auto Parts for more than 35 years as a commercial auto parts salesman.

Craig enjoyed gardening and tending to his roses. He enjoyed camping and loved to fish.

The Rev. Dave Jodry will conduct a celebration of Craig’s life at 11 a.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at First Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.
