David Leo Pace, 56, of Edinburgh, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, May 31, 2015, at his residence.

David was born to Janet (Douthit-Weddle) and Roger Pace on Feb. 7, 1960, in Shelbyville. He was very close to his stepfather, Charley Weddle, who taught him the love of outdoors.

He graduated from Edinburgh Community High School in 1978.

David was passionate about hunting, fishing, football, cooking, NASCAR and, most importantly, his grandchildren, Kaiden Dolph Leo Burton, Brenyn Allen Dean Burton, Tyson Leo Bryan Burton and Annabella Louise Robertson.

He married Anita Campbell in 1988.

He is survived by his mother, Janet Weddle; children, Felicia A. Pace (Allen Robertson), Brittany L. Burton (Jerryd Burton) and Chad L. Pace; brothers, Jonathan Pace, Billy Weddle, Roger Weddle, Errol Weddle and Travis Weddle; sisters, Michelle Shelton, Dianna Spurlock, Darlene Fugate and Crystal Weddle-Skirvin; his grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal and loving dog, Sally.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Pace; his stepfather, Charley Weddle; and his father, Roger Pace.

He was known by all close to him as a passionate “river rat.” His smile and humor will be missed.

Services will be private.
