Physical therapist joins pediatric clinic

Hopebridge Pediatric Specialists recently announced that Ashley Summers, a physical therapist, has joined the Greenwood Clinic.

She will be charged with helping children improve gross motor skills, including the development of strength, mobility, balance, coordination and endurance.

Summers previously provided physical therapy at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Specialty Associates and Advocate Children’s Hospital.

She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis.

Walmart workers to serve luncheon

Walmart will honor veterans during a special event next month.

On Wednesday, several Walmart stores and the associates from the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Seymour will host an appreciation luncheon for troops at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh.

The event is called Feed’em for Freedom. During the event, about 80 associates will set up, cook and serve between 1,500 and 2,000 soldiers.

Hospital network names development director

Larry Meade has been promoted to director of business development for Franciscan Alliance, effective Monday.

Meade has served as manager with the marketing and community relations department for Franciscan St. Francis Health’s oncology service line since 2010. In that role, he led the marketing communications for the expansion of the Franciscan St. Francis Cancer Center and the promotion of the center’s programs and services.

He also helped develop the hospital’s imaging, pulmonary and surgical service lines and coordinated numerous community partnerships.

Prior to his position with Franciscan St. Francis, Meade was manager of marketing and advertising for Columbus Regional Health, where he directed market research, strategic planning and creative services.

Event management firm to assist touring show

Gemini Production Solutions, a company with a location in Franklin, recently was given the duties of event management, site operations and waste reclamation services for the 2015 Gentlemen of the Road Tour, featuring Mumford & Sons.

Gemini will provide administrative and other production support for the tour, which begins in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, on Friday.

Mumford & Sons, creators and curators of the event, are taking the tour to several small towns around the country this summer as part of its global Stopover Festival series.

Gemini Production Solutions will coordinate some of the infrastructure at the events.

Founded in 2012 by Rick Resener and his business partner, Kohn Dwight, Gemini Production Solutions offers multistage production support for live concerts and events. The company has locations in Franklin, Sacramento, San Francisco and Charlotte, North Carolina.
