GREENWOOD
Edis E. Dilk, 93, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born May 2, 1922, in Ripley County to the late Charles O. and Nellie (Anderson) Dilk.
He is survived by his children, Stephen (Kathy) Dilk, Timothy (Linda) Dilk, Daniel Dilk, David (Jill) Dilk and Philip “Skip” (Ginny) Dilk; grandchildren, Jason, Travis and Allie Tatman, and Katie, Steven, Rachel, Emily, Lauren and Amy Dilk; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Dilk, in 2011; and his brothers, James and Roscoe Dilk.
Edis was a graduate of Purdue University.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II on the USS Iowa and later retired as an engineer from the state of Indiana after 35 years.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Friends may visit from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
