Criminal mischief

2000 block of Independence Drive: A man reported at 7:32 a.m. Wednesday that someone broke a window on his vehicle.

500 block of East Worthsville Road: Police responded at 7:43 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a smashed trailer window.

Shoplifting

Walmart, 882 S. State Road 135: Police responded at 9:07 a.m. Wednesday to a report of theft. A woman was arrested.

Thefts

500 block of Lawndale Drive: Police responded at 7:36 a.m. Wednesday to a report of theft of a tool box.

200 block of Noble Street: Police responded at 8:12 p.m. Wednesday to a report of theft of a license plate.

1600 block of Honey Lane: Police responded at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to a report of theft.

Personal-injury accident

1:23 p.m. Wednesday — Main Street and Airport Parkway: Chelsea Benslay, 19, Indianapolis, and Robert Stone, 33, Bargersville. Stone had a chest injury. Benslay reported a bruised knee, lower leg or foot.

Fraud

2100 block of South County Road 500E: A woman reported at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday that she received a call purporting to be from the IRS. The call was fraudulent.

Jail bookings

The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Dustin Lee James Alderson, 25, 96½ N. Home Ave., Franklin; arrested on a charge of contempt of court; released on $250 bond.

Ashley Megan Dickens, 29, 602 E. Thompson St., Edinburgh; arrested on charges of strangulation, criminal confinement, domestic battery and neglect of a dependent; held on $4,800 bond.

Corrie Ann Burch, 26, 401 Morris St., Apt. B, Edinburgh; arrested on a charge of criminal conversion; released on $250 bond.

Earl Charles Pumphrey Jr., 53, 27 Glendale Trailer Park, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of habitual traffic violations; released on $1,200 bond.

Brandon J. Hughes, 25, 502 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh; arrested on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief; held on $3,000 bond.

Dean C. Whiteman, 31, 401 Lincoln St., upstairs apartment, Edinburgh; arrested on an out-of-county warrant; held without bond.

Jose M. Mier-Ceballos, 31, 501 Northgate Drive, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a previous conviction; held on $1,350 bond.

Timothy R. Rice, 23, 143 Eastview Drive, Bargersville; also arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of a property-damage accident; held on $2,000 bond.

Dakota Harley Smith, 20, 709 E. Thompson St., Edinburgh; also arrested on a charge of possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor; held on $2,000 bond.
