Volunteers sought to place flags

The Franklin American Legion is recruiting volunteers to put flags on veterans’ graves Saturday.

Volunteers are needed to help with the honor, organized by the American Legion Post 205 every Memorial Day weekend.

Residents are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at the cemetery office, 100 W. South St., Franklin. The American Legion will conduct a small program with rifle volley and taps preformed with a bugler. Then flags will be distributed to volunteers to be placed on the graves of all military veterans.
