The American Red Cross will host several local blood drives throughout May.
Donors of all blood types — especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative –- are needed to help ensure blood is available for patients this spring. Those who donate blood between May 23 and May 25 will receive a limited-edition Red Cross-branded tote bag while supplies last.
The following drives will take place.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Johnson County Public Library Franklin branch, 401 State St.
Tuesday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Johnson County Library White River library, 1664 Library Blvd.
