INDIANAPOLIS
Lois I. Dale, 98, of Indianapolis, died on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
She was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Bicknell to the late George and Jennie (McNeill) Treadway.
She married James Edward Dale and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1983.
She graduated from Hymera High School in 1935, and was the valedictorian. Lois loved playing cards, games, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was also preceded in death by son, Richard Edward Dale; three brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include son, Jerry (Mary) Dale of Greenwood; daughter-in-law, Mildred Dale; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at noon Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Little Flock Cemetery in Sullivan County.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to Community Hospice, in memory of Lois Dale, 9894 E. 121st St., Fishers, IN 46037.
