With only four holes to go, torrential rains halted play Saturday at the annual Boys Golf Preview at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, site of the IHSAA state finals in June.
Top-ranked Center Grove was tied for the lead with No. 8 Yorktown when the meet was stopped. The Trojans were among 21 teams at the tournament.
Earlier, golfers had only been on the championship course for two hours when the first horn sounded at 3 p.m. because of lightning and an threat of thunderstorms.
Following a 70-minute delay, tournament play resumed, but nearly three hours later rain stopped the tournament.
Center Grove will be at Zionsville Invitational at The Trophy Club on Saturday.
