Criminal mischief

4100 block of Magnolia Drive: Police responded at 11:52 a.m. Monday to a report of a spray-painted license plate.

Fraud

200 block of Branigin Road: Police responded at 11:42 a.m. Monday to a report of a phone scam in which someone pretended to be from the IRS, threatening arrest if money wasn’t sent.

Thefts

  • Burger King, 200 Paris Drive: Police responded at 3:01 p.m. Monday to a report of a stolen iPhone.
  • 800 block of Yandes Street: Police responded at 2:01 p.m. Monday to a report of a plastic container containing miscellaneous items stolen from a porch.
  • 1500 block of Younce Street: Police responded at 8:37 a.m. Monday to a report of a stolen diamond ring and computer and the unauthorized use of a credit card.

White River Library, 1664 Library Blvd.: Police responded at 7:59 a.m. Monday to a report of forced-entry burglary.

Criminal mischief

  • 1100 block of Bexley Drive: Police responded at 7:40 p.m. Monday to a report of a burglarized vehicle.
  • Indiana Eye Clinic, 30 N. Emerson Ave.: Police responded at 7:42 a.m. Monday to a report of damaged lawn, trees and shrubs and large landscaping rocks thrown into a parking lot.

Thefts

  • McDonald’s, 2252 S. U.S. 31: Police responded at 9:47 p.m. Monday to a report of a stolen ring.
  • Kohl’s, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 7:13 p.m. Monday to a report of shoplifting. A man was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of criminal conversion.
  • 1200 block of U.S. 31: Police responded at 4:35 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.
  • 400 block of Forest Park Drive: Police responded at 1:17 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.
  • Office Depot, 1276 N. U.S. 31:  Police responded at 1:08 p.m. Monday to a report of a burglarized vehicle. Someone broke out a window and stole a laptop computer and iPad. Loss was estimated at $1,500.
  • Von Maur, 1251 N. U.S. 31: Police responded at 12:18 p.m. Monday to a report of theft.
  • 3100 block of Meridian Parke Drive: Police responded at 10:13 a.m. Monday to a report of a possible home burglary.
  • 1200 block of North U.S. 31: Police responded at 9:30 a.m. Monday to a report of theft.
  • 500 block of Paradise Way: Police responded at 8:57 a.m. Monday to a report of an unlocked car that was rummaged through; nothing was reported missing.

300 block of Melrose Lane, Greenwood: Police responded at 8:25 p.m. Monday to a report of a phone scam in which someone called the victim pretending to be from the IRS.

The following people recently were arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Katherine Ann Young, 23, 835 S. Old U.S. 31, Franklin; arrested on a charge of probation violation; held without bond.

William Christopher Wallace, 30, 406 N. Delaware St., Apt. 210, Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court; released on $500 bond.

David Charles Thompson, 42, 52 Port O Call Drive, Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court; held without bond.

Geoffrey Albert Lacava, 34, 1701 Carson Way, Apt. 124, Greenwood; arrested on warrants for failing to appear in court; held on $331.50.

Andre Strong, 28, 7321 E. 54th St., Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court; held without bond.

Keith G. Jenne, 43, 349 Center St., Whiteland; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended; released on $1,000 bond.

Amanda Joyce Trusler, 27, 3749 Mann Road, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of possession of paraphernalia and on an out-of-county warrant; held without bond.
