On bicycles built for one

Franklin College’s 36th annual bike race takes off Saturday at the Indiana Masonic Home. 

Community members are invited to attend this free event and take part in a kite-flying festival that will be conducted during the races on the lawn of the Indiana Masonic Home. Kites will be provided by college Student Foundation for anyone who wants to participate.

The women’s and co-ed race will begin at 11 a.m. and is 16.5 miles in length. The men’s race, with a length of 33 miles, will immediately follow. Franklin College’s Student Congress will provide breakfast treats for spectators beginning at 10 a.m.

The Masonic Home is at State and South streets in Franklin.
