Grace M. Knight, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, April 27 2015.
She was born June 8, 1921, in Anderson, Alabama, to W. Frank and Hugh (McCafferty) Nunley.
Grace married James C. Knight on April 2, 1938, in Alabama; and they enjoyed their 72 years together until his passing on July 11, 2011.
Grace loved to sew, quilt and collect dolls.
She attended Daily Walk Christian Church.
She will be very missed by all who know and love her.
Grace is survived by her sons, James (Thelma) Knight and William R. “Bob” (Judy) Knight; daughters, Mary (Dennis) Walden and Claudell (Bill) Tucker; brothers, Vernon (Dorothy), Hollis (Jean) and Douglas Nunley; sisters, Claudy Nunley, Syble Rogers, Patricia Cates, Shirley (Hulon) Burbank and Petronell (Lloyd) Cox; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry W. Knight; brothers, Franklin and Woodrow; and a sister, Palmer Price.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
