Claude Croucher Jr.

Claude Croucher Jr., 79, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Greenwood. He was a resident of Bargersville.

He was born April 3, 1936, in Bedford to Claude Croucher Sr. and Elsie Mae (Sherfield) Croucher.

Claude is survived by children, Jennifer (Tim) Cottrell of Plainfield and Eric (Angie) Croucher of Kettering, Ohio; his children’s mother, Julia Ann (Morris) Croucher of Bargersville; grandchildren, Chris Banta, Jeff Cottrell, Alysia Cadwell, Caedon Croucher and Caitlin McQuinn; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; and a brother, Clyde Croucher.

He attended school in Franklin and was a 1955 graduate of Franklin High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Third Armored Division as a sergeant in the motor pool.

Claude was a service manager with International Harvester, retiring after 45 years of dedicated service. He was a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Bargersville. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying mushroom hunting and fishing.

The Rev. Ken Rickett will conduct a celebration of Claude’s life at 10 a.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Harris Cemetery in Union Township.
