Overnight work slated for I-65

Workers will begin patching sections of Interstate 65 next week.

The work will be done on the interstate between Main Street in Greenwood and State Road 44 in Franklin, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Work will be done overnight, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Workers will start in the right southbound lane in Greenwood on Monday and Tuesday nights, weather permitting. The right lane will be closed until the next morning, the release said.

The work is part of an $84 million project that will begin later this year to add a third lane to I-65 between Greenwood and Franklin, the release said.
