Police arrested a Center Grove area man on a charge of child molesting related to incidents that occurred during a three-year span.
Raymon Llyod Martindale, 84, was arrested late Wednesday on charges of child molesting and dissemination of matter harmful to minors. Police arrested Martindale on a Class A felony charge, the most serious type, punishable by 20 to 50 years in prison if convicted.
The incidents occurred between 2006 and 2009, when the victim was 7 to 9 years old, according to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators spoke with Martindale and the victim before the arrest.
Sheriff Doug Cox is not releasing more information about the case at this time.
Martindale, 5255 Mount Pleasant Center St., was taken to the Johnson County jail, where was released on $53,000 bond.
The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office will decide what, if any, charges to file against Martindale.
