Pearl Street in Greenwood will be closed starting Monday for construction.
Crews with Atlas Excavating already have started work on the road, which will be closed from Greenwood Street to Madison Avenue through June 12. Workers will be replacing sewer lines and then rebuilding the road.
The majority of Pearl Street residents will still have access to their homes through alleys or side streets, but workers will be sure all residents have access to their homes, Atlas Excavating spokesperson Nick Dillon said.
The construction company also is going to start working on Saturdays until the road is opened again. Crews can work on weekends from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to Greenwood’s noise ordinance.
