FRANKLIN
Doris J. Adams, 84, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015, in Franklin.
Born on Oct. 29, 1930, in Stinesville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille (Smith) Board.
Doris was a graduate of Union School in Johnson County with the class of 1949.
She married John T. Adams on Dec. 22, 1950, in Brownstown.
She worked as an activities director at Westminster Village for many years and retired from the Indiana Masonic Home. She also helped her son Marc at Marc Adams School of Woodworking.
She was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa and a member of Community Congregational Church in Franklin.
She is survived by two sons, Joe (Susan) Adams and Marc (Susie) Adams; grandchildren, Bonnie Adams, Ean Adams, Markee Adams Murrin and John Adams; and great-grandchildren, Delilia Adams, Aurora Adams and Iris Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a brother, Harold Board.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
