Harold Albert Coleson

Harold Albert Coleson, 73, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015, at his residence in Franklin.

He was born on July 3, 1941, in Hart, Michigan, to James A. and Hilda (Hux) Coleson.

He married Martha Morgason on April 11, 1970. She preceded him in passing on Dec. 8, 2002.

Survivors include his fiancé, Sue Larsen; children, Gary Cruser (Lana) of Polk City, Florida, Kathy Wilson-Pitts of Inman, South Carolina, and Vicki Adams (George) and Jim Cruser (Lynn), both of Franklin; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Donald Coleson (Sandra); sisters, Helen Fitzpatrick (Tom) and Ruth Musil (Jim); and brother-in-law, Steve Ordway.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Martha; sister, Alice Ordway; and grandchildren, Christopher Michael Cruser and Joseph Bud Beckner.

Harold was a graduate of Hart High School in Hart, Michigan, class of 1959.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1964.

Harold worked at Central Lumber Supply from 1971 to 1983. He owned Central Lumber Supply from 1983 to 2000. He was a Johnson County building inspector from 2000 to 2014.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. A graveside service will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
