GREENWOOD
William (Dewey) Gibson, 90, of Greenwood, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Dewey Gibson was the son of Olive and James Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, and is survived by his son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Debbie.
Dewey worked for the State Board of Tax Commissioners for 25 years and retired in 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II with service in the Battle of the Bulge, and he received a Purple Heart. He enjoyed golf and fishing.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood with viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
