Alma Simpson

Alma Bea Simpson, 91, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, with her family at her side.

Alma was born April 14, 1923, in Bethpage, Tennessee, to Flossie Alma Key. She worked for Hygrade Packing for many years and later for the Perry Township School Corp. She was an avid reader who also loved to garden, fish and sew. She baby-sat for many children throughout the years and loved to spend time with her family.

Alma is survived by her sons, William D. (Bonnie) Simpson and Arlin Simpson; daughter, Linda S. (Dennis) Lade; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Allen R. Key.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home.
