READY, AIM, SHOOT

If Jessica Norris is nervous, she hides it well.

The Center Grove senior looks forward to being one of eight competitors at tonight’s American Family Insurance High School 3-point Championship at Carmel High School.

Other participants qualified mainly because of national reputation; Norris, who knocked down 76 triples this past season for a 20-7 Trojans squad, did so accumulating the most online votes from a pool of 16 finalists.

Yet regardless how she got there, Norris is happy for the opportunity.

“I know our whole coaching staff is coming to watch, and I think (Center Grove teammates) Regan (Wentland) and Bri (Gliesmann) will be there, too. I hope I do well so I can be on TV,” she said.
