Leonard E. “Gene” Smith, 86, of Parma, Ohio — beloved husband of the late Betty Ann (Legan) Smith; devoted father of Nila O’Brien (Charles, deceased), Marla Salerno (Lou, deceased), Janice Smith and Gary Smith (Lisa); loving grandfather of John O’Brien (Leanne), Michael O’Brien (Sarah), Chelsey Salerno, Kyle Smith and Luke Smith; great-grandfather of Tyler, Ryleigh and Jaxson O’Brien; dear brother of Darlene Zartman (Bill), Donald Smith (Vel) and the late Billie Mitchell (Oren, surviving); and dear uncle, great-uncle and friend to many — passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015.
A service will be at noon Saturday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 5930 State Road, Parma, Ohio. Cremation will be by Busch Crematory, Cleveland, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, Ohio, and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
