Ralph E. Flora

TRAFALGAR

Ralph E. Flora, 65, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was a resident of Trafalgar.

Ralph will be remembered for his strong faith in God, his commitment to his family and his love for his church.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1949, in Phoenix, to his parents, William J. and Roxie Mae (Burge) Flora.

Ralph was a 1968 graduate of Indian Creek High School and went on to serve as a private first class with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He retired in 2014 from the United Auto Workers Local 933 in Indianapolis as the maintenance supervisor after 32 years of service.

Ralph was a 50-year member and an elder of Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking. Ralph also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with his family.

Ralph is survived by his mother, Roxie Mae Lowe of Franklin; wife, Cindy J. (Ross) Flora, whom he married Dec. 2, 1994, in Morgantown; children, Darby E. (Amber) Flora and Angie Langley, both of Morgantown, Eric (Heidi) Donahue and Christian A. (Amanda) Flora, both of Trafalgar, Shane F. (Shawnda) Flora of Martinsville, Brittney L. Flora of Pine Bluff, Arizona, and Bridgitt A. Flora of Richmond, Kentucky. He will be remembered by his siblings, Melody (Randy) Coffman of Edinburgh, and William “Bill” (Lidia) Flora Jr. of Trafalgar; son-in-law, Jesse Langley of Brazil; 19 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Ralph was preceded in death by his father; two wives, Helen L. (Richardson) Flora, on Oct. 30, 1990, and his second wife, Donna Sue (Sloate) Flora, on June 24, 1993; and sisters: Deborah K. Chapman and Aletha Stapp.

Brothers Mike Day, Rodger Bunch and Kip Payton will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
