ELIZABETHTOWN
Viola “Boots” Burton, 79, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at her home.
Survivors include children, Jackie Hamner and Don Burton, both of Elizabethtown, Jim Burton Jr. and Doug (Robin) Hamner, both of Scipio, Kevin Burton of North Vernon and Christina (Chris) Fitch of Edinburgh; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy R. “Jim” Burton; and a daughter, Candy Hauk.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel, 3729 25th St., Columbus, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, in care of the funeral home.
