EDINBURGH
Donald R. Cowan, 73, of Edinburgh, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.
He was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Columbia, Kentucky, the son of Ollie James and Loracy (Burton) Cowan.
He is survived by two sons, Travis (Erika) Cowan and Tracy Cowan, both of Edinburgh; a brother, Jerry Cowan of Edinburgh; a sister, Helen Sallee of Edinburgh; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dawn D. Deem; four brothers, Eulis, Junior, Earl and Ralph Cowan; and a sister, Loedda M. Price.
He was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh.
He enjoyed fishing and watching football, basketball and baseball.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of the service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
