Annie M. Wade

Annie M. Wade, 78, of Edinburgh, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

She was born March 31, 1936, in Cisco, Kentucky, the daughter of Lilburn and Ethel (Williams) Fitch.

She married Donald Clifton Wade on March 28, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1999.

She is survived by sons, Donald R. (Rosemary) Wade of North Vernon, Robert L. (Barbara) Wade and Roger D. Wade, both of Edinburgh, and Bruce D. (Allison) Wade of Franklin; daughters, Doris A. (Steve) Feese of Columbus and Vera M. (John) Olmstead of Edinburgh; a sister, Wanda (Robert) Chandler of Edinburgh; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a great-granddaughter; and siblings, Robert Fitch, Willie Fitch, Dorothy Wooten, Katherine Barton and Margie Wooten.

She was a member of Edinburgh Full Gospel Church in Edinburgh.

She was an employee of Amos-Hill Veneer in Edinburgh. She also worked as a nurse’s aide.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and church, gardening, reading and crocheting.

The funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday by the Rev. Douglas Smith at Edinburgh Full Gospel Church, 507 W. Center Cross St. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St. in Edinburgh, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
