Stanley E. Lynn

FRANKLIN

Stanley E. Lynn, 80, passed away Monday evening, March 9, 2015, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born April 29, 1934, in Gary to Stanley and Verna (Gruszka) Lynn.

He married Adrienne (Hunch) Lynn on Jan. 6, 1954.

Stanley is survived by his children, Robert (Judy) Lynn, Janet McCarty, Pat Duran, Stan (Barb) Lynn, Barb (Tom) Maloney and Mark (Sandi) Lynn. Also surviving are grandchildren, Robert, Abbey, Erika, Tricia (Jeff), Daniel, Kathryn, Rochelle (Kevin), Stan (Kelly), Leah (Dustin), T.J., Josh, Michael, Matthew and Mason; and great-grandchildren, Lucy, Warner, Ruby, Reece, Jeff and Josh.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Adrienne on Dec. 28, 2008; and sister, Dolores Dziadosz.

He was a graduate of Tolleston High School and attended Purdue Calumet.

He served in the Indiana National Guard.

Stan was employed by U.S. Steel in Gary and Indusco as an engineer, retiring after several years of dedicated service. He later worked for Capital Engineering.

He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin. He was a Gold Key member at the Gary Sportsman Club. He was a member of Hillview Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive, Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
