EDINBURGH
Brent M. Western, 35, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
He was born Jan. 3, 1980, in Danville to Jody G. and Sharon E. (McDonald) Western.
He married Jamie D. (Harrison) Western on Aug. 9, 2014, in Hope; she survives.
He had been a shipping supervisor for Sunright American in Columbus.
He was a 1998 graduate of Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis.
He was an avid Colts fan, enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, spending time with his family and his little princess, Harper Kaylene Elaine Western.
He was a great man who loved everything in life completely and passionately.
Survivors include his wife, Jamie D. (Harrison) Western of Edinburgh; a daughter, Harper Kaylene Elaine Western at home; his mother, Sharon E. (McDonald) Western of Indianapolis; brother, Timothy S. Western of Indianapolis; maternal grandmother, Marlene (Fawcett) Fore of Evansville; mother-in-law, Karen Steidel (Ricky) of Greensburg, father-in-law, Randy Metcalf (Gina) of Cowpens, South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Erikka Thompson of Columbus and Kasey Carter of Huntington Beach, California, and a brother-in-law, Brandon Carter of Greensburg; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins; and the family dogs, Krypto and Kyah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jody G. Western, on June 26, 2007; and grandparents, James Fore, Felix and Patricia Western.
The Rev. David Steidel will conduct a service at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for a trust to be established at a later date for his daughter.
