Ardis K. Lingenfelter

INDIANAPOLIS

Ardis K. Lingenfelter, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015.

She was born on June 27, 1920, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, to the late Ole and Laura (Peterson) Clauson.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church for 31 years.

Ardis enjoyed sewing, volunteering and shopping.

After retirement she volunteered for 10 years at Red Cross and Eiteljorg Museum. She also was a world traveler.

Survivors include her children, Pamela (Del) Olston and Peter (Trenna) Grischow; stepdaughter, Karen (Jerry) Campbell; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Olston, Jeff (Leslie) Olston and Kim (Todd) Cox; stepgrandchildren, Chad (Sharon) Campbell and Erin (Bjorn) Nordmann; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Curtis Clauson of Sun City, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by first husband, Emil John (Jack) Grischow, and second husband, Charles B. Lingenfelter.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6111 E. Shelby St., Indianapolis, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
