Imogene Rose Johnson

GREENWOOD

Imogene Rose Johnson, 84, of Greenwood went to be with the Lord and her heavenly family Sunday, March 1, 2015.

Born Feb. 12, 1931, in Rusk County, Wisconsin, to the late A. Berton and Alice J. Clarke, she was a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Indiana.

She co-owned B.J. Concessions for 40 years with her husband, Bill. They operated at Butler University for 22 years and also the Marion County Fairgrounds and Long Acre Pool.

An active member of Greenwood Christian Church, she studied the Bible and was active in Martha’s Circle and Sisters in Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William G. Johnson; children, Linda G. Johnson, Jeffrey L. Johnson (Shelly), Lori A. Whyde (Tom) and Scott W. Johnson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, David (Connie) Clarke; and half sister, Gayle (Herb) Hardt.

The Revs. Shan Rutherford and Perry Anderson will conduct the service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
