FRANKLIN

Virginia M. (Allison) Morrical, 78, of the Franklin United Methodist Community, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.

She was born Feb. 16, 1937, in Sterling in Whiteside County, Illinois to Elwin John Allison and Ruby Crystal (Miller) Allison.

She married Harold L. Morrical on Nov. 27, 1959, in Sterling, Illinois; and he preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2013.

Virginia was a graduate of Indiana Central College (University of Indianapolis), where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree, and the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse for various nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, and nursing schools for 35 years.

In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and served as a volunteer in mission in six countries.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin.

On April 12, 2014, Virginia married Theodore “Ted” Martin of Franklin.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Tony Morrical (Annemarie) of Evansville and Jim Morrical (Libby) of Goshen; daughters, Carol Highsmith (Steve) of Brownsburg and Janet Morrical; and six grandchildren, Jessica Morrical, Christopher Morrical, Benjamin Morrical, Kathleen Morrical, Allison Highsmith and Abby Highsmith. She also is survived by her brother Ed Allison (Anita) of Flowery Branch, Georgia.

Virginia also was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Fern Cordes.

The Rev. Andy Kinsey will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wright Chapel of the Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin, where the family will receive friends from noon until the service time at the chapel.
