GREENWOOD
“Quiet” Ralph Wendell Allen, 77, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015.
Born May 23, 1937, in Fredonia, he was the son of the late Gaius and Nellie (Birkla) Allen.
He married Lu Ann (Lyles) Allen on May 20, 1961, in Celina, Tennessee; and she survives.
Ralph was president and owner of Bryant–Allen Heating & Air Conditioning in Indianapolis. He served two times as president of the Heating and Air Conditioning Association of Indianapolis.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Also surviving are his four sons, Del (Linda) Allen, Dennis Allen, Troy (Jill) Allen and Scott (Mary) Allen; a daughter, Susan Allen-Davidson; a sister, Carol Sue Decker; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
